ParentPulse ("the App") is offered by Ocean Digital Group LLC (published on Google Play under the developer account of David Mieczynski and on the Apple App Store under Ocean Digital Group LLC).
ParentPulse is a general-audience lifestyle and family organization companion featuring a Morning Edition briefing (weather, uplifting news, and On This Day in History), daily brain games (5-letter word puzzle, Today in History & Nostalgia Trivia, and memory match), a 1-tap "I'm Up & OK" family check-in card, an evening home lock-up checklist, and a private Care Binder (trusted neighbor contacts, home fall-prevention checklist, and visit log).
100% Local Personal Records: All relative profiles, daily check-in logs, puzzle scores, evening lock-up checklists, trusted neighbor entries, and visit notes you enter into the App are stored locally on your device using native on-device storage (AsyncStorage / UserDefaults). We do not operate a cloud backend that collects, transmits, or stores your family check-in logs or Care Binder records.
Non-Medical Lifestyle App: ParentPulse does not track medications, dosages, prescriptions, or medical vitals, and does not provide medical advice.
Hometown Weather by City Name Only (Zero GPS Location Access): When you view or refresh the Morning Edition weather forecast, the App queries the public Open-Meteo API (geocoding-api.open-meteo.com and api.open-meteo.com) using only the city name you selected (for example, Hartford, CT). The App never requests or accesses your device's GPS or precise/coarse location permissions.
"On This Day in History" Milestones: When you refresh historical milestones in the Morning Edition, the App requests public calendar-date facts from the Wikimedia On This Day API (api.wikimedia.org) using only the current month and day. No personal identifiers or account data are transmitted with these requests, and the App includes a complete built-in offline library when your device is offline.
If you choose to view or purchase an optional ParentPulse Pro subscription ($2.99/month or $19.99/year), billing is processed directly by Apple App Store or Google Play Billing, and subscription entitlement status is verified via RevenueCat (react-native-purchases):
Purchase History & Subscription Status: Anonymous purchase tokens and entitlement status (NSPrivacyCollectedDataTypePurchaseHistory) are processed by RevenueCat solely to unlock and restore Pro features across app launches.
Anonymous App User ID: A pseudonymous, app-scoped identifier (NSPrivacyCollectedDataTypeUserID) generated by RevenueCat to verify subscription status, not linked to your personal identity and never used for advertising or cross-app tracking.
We never receive or store your credit card number, billing address, or payment credentials.
Local Notifications (Optional): If enabled, ParentPulse schedules local reminders on your device for your morning check-in window and evening lock-up routine. Notification schedules remain on your device.
1-Tap Check-In Pulse & CSV Export (User-Initiated Only): When you tap Share Morning Pulse & Score, Share Handover Dossier, or Export Care Binder CSV, the message or formula-safe CSV file is generated locally on your device and shared only through the destination you explicitly choose in your device's native share sheet (such as SMS, iMessage, WhatsApp, or Email).
Zero Camera, Photo Library, Microphone, GPS Location, or Contacts Access: ParentPulse does not request or access your camera, photo library, microphone, GPS location, contacts, or advertising identifiers (AD_ID is explicitly blocked on Android, and NSPrivacyTracking is false on iOS).
Because your check-in logs, puzzle streaks, and Care Binder entries live locally on your device, you have full control over them at all times:
You can edit or delete any individual routine, contact, safety item, or starter sample entry directly inside the App.
You can permanently wipe all local data at any time using Settings → Reset All Local Data, or by uninstalling the App.
ParentPulse is designed for adults, seniors, and family caregivers and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
